Reporting to the JS Logistics and Planning Specialist, you will fulfill the necessary requirements with regards to the operational activities / requirement in the Joinery Department to meet the Company’s objectives which is the manufacturing of high-quality components.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Receiving of parts and signing off of all contents;
  • Following up on any and all shortfalls and parts that are outstanding with various
    supply departments;
  • Daily updating of delivery figures and shortfalls and visual graphs;
  • Keeping all boat records filed and updated as per procedure;
  • Housekeeping – ensuring designated areas are kept clean and tidy;
  • Ensuring all health and safety areas are kept clear of parts;

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum: NQF Level 2 (Grade 10);
  • Ideal: NQF Level 4 (Grade 12);
  • Minimum Experience: At least 2-3 years relevant experience;
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of all aspects of Joinery;
  • Advantageous: Stores and customer service experience;
  • Good communication both verbal and written;
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance record;
  • Able to work weekends and overtime;
  • Have a thorough understanding of the quality condition within the company;

  • Good planning, organising, communication and control skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Quality conscious / QC parts;
  • Physically capable of packing heavier items;
  • Decision Making.
