Expeditor
Reporting to the JS Logistics and Planning Specialist, you will fulfill the necessary requirements with regards to the operational activities / requirement in the Joinery Department to meet the Company’s objectives which is the manufacturing of high-quality components.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receiving of parts and signing off of all contents;
- Following up on any and all shortfalls and parts that are outstanding with various
supply departments; - Daily updating of delivery figures and shortfalls and visual graphs;
- Keeping all boat records filed and updated as per procedure;
- Housekeeping – ensuring designated areas are kept clean and tidy;
- Ensuring all health and safety areas are kept clear of parts;
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum: NQF Level 2 (Grade 10);
- Ideal: NQF Level 4 (Grade 12);
- Minimum Experience: At least 2-3 years relevant experience;
- Thorough knowledge and experience of all aspects of Joinery;
- Advantageous: Stores and customer service experience;
- Good communication both verbal and written;
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance record;
- Able to work weekends and overtime;
- Have a thorough understanding of the quality condition within the company;
COMPETENCIES:
- Good planning, organising, communication and control skills;
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Quality conscious / QC parts;
- Physically capable of packing heavier items;
- Decision Making.
