Stores Packer
Reporting to the Team Leader in the Stores Department, you will fulfil the necessary requirements within the Department to meet the Company’s objectives.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receiving goods from Receiving Area and place onto shelves / into cages;
- Pick components for specific jobs and place in relevant cage according to packing list;
- Assist at Receiving Counter;
- Assist with stock take;
- Ensure accuracy of inventories;
- Responsible for inserting stock in the correct location and track accordingly;
- Responsible for correct labelling of all stock;
- Ensure all locations are labelled correctly and that all locations are scanned;
- Ensure that the Warehouse has sufficient space for incoming stock;
- Any other Stores and ADHOC related functions as and when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum: NQF Level 2 (Grade 10)
- Idea: NQF level 4 (Grade 12)
- Experience: At least 2 ½ relevant experience in warehousing and distribution
- Minimum of 2 ½ years’ relevant experience with WMS systems and scanners
- Good communication skills both verbal and written;
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance records;
- Able to work weekends and overtime;
- Have a thorough understanding of the quality statement within the Company;
- Strong attention to detail and very process driven;
- Ability to work under pressure and without supervision.
