Supply Chain Business Analyst

Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, the successful incumbent will support the materials planning, procurement and warehousing departments as a business analyst.


KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Business Analyst:

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support decision making by ensuring forward stock projection, reviews and parameters on stock levels as well as inbound shipment material damages and root cause analysis
  • Develop decision-support templates that will be used in the business
  • Design and implementation of KPIs on the supply chain dashboard
  • Support the business in identifying problems in supply of material to the production line
  • Conduct root cause analysis on service failure of material supply to the production lines
  • Facilitate continuous improvement workshops to improve supply reliability to the production line
  • Develop business cases for improvement and present to management
  • Project management and implement improvement initiatives in the supply chain functional areas
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for the supply chain functional areas
  • Prepare Monthly Integrated Business Planning packs
  • Prepare weekly and monthly executive reporting packs

Ad-hoc:

  • Perform ad-hoc task as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum: Btech/B-degree (NQF7) or tertiary qualification / degree in Logistics/Supply Chain/ Industrial Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • Experience: Required 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing supply chain environment with at least 2 years’ experience in a business analyst position
  • Total Productive Maintenance (5S, Continuous Improvement)
  • Experience in Supply chain and Material Requirements planning is advantageous
  • Manufacturing Operations knowledge
  • Warehouse & logistics knowledge is advantageous
